Each magnet has polarity, which means the pull force is directional. Any two magnets will either be attracted to or repel each other depending on the direction they are facing each other. To correct, simply grab the magnet on the bow sling (through the elastic band) between your thumb and forefinger and flip it over, 180 degrees, so that the side originally facing the paracord is now facing out.
